The largest and oldest Czech museum founded in 1818 is housed in a monumental neo-renaissance building from the years 1885 – 1890 that dominates the Wenceslas Square.

- May – September 10 – 18 daily
- October – April 9 – 17 daily
- closed on first Tuesdays of the month
- every first Monday in a month no charge for admission
Admission fees:
- Basic: 120 Kč
- Reduced: 70 Kč seniors (over 60 years), disabled persons, children 6–15 years old, High schools and University students (student ID card is necessary)
- Family: 150 Kč (max. 2 adults, all together 4 persons)
- School group with pedagogue: 40 Kč/person
- Student ticket with 1 year validation: 220 Kč (validate 1 year from the date of acquisition)
